Lead Java Software Developer 
at CallSign Inc in Tech City / Silicon Roundabout
BRIEF
CalSign Inc is a start up digital identity company that is partnering with some of the biggest companies in the word to revolutionise the Internet. With offices in Silicon Valley and London CallSign is currently growing its software development team and is looking for Java Developers with architect experience to join the team.
The location is CallSign’s UK HQ in central London. You will be part of the Development Team and responsible for creating and maintaining the core CallSign platform as well as the back-end to websites used by millions of people around the globe. You will work closely with the CallSign technology and marketing teams to maintain the existing platform as well as scope, build and test new features. You will use your knowledge of J2EE, JSON and Architecting in mobile telco and financial services, to help define and deliver key components of the platform that are flexible and suitable for large-scale digital platforms.

ROLE Description
The role of Lead Java Developer & Architect will require you to:
1. Architect and define key design decisions, with appropriate project plans to deliver updates and major milestones, whilst also handling day-to-day operational issues.
2. Work closely with partner organisations to integrate compoenets of the platform with their mission critical systems.
3. Work closely with a team of Java developers to produce, update and maintain data the back-end using Java, Spring and Hibernate.
4. Provide technical advice and integration help to members of the creative team and front-end team.
5. Develop, maintain and execute testing plans.
6. Produce, update and maintain technical documentation.
7. Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies.
Key Skills
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Java Developer (J2EE), capable of defining architectures and turning these into a software development plan and with a strong background in developing back-ends for mission critical services, ideally financial.
The Java Developer must be expert in:
• Java
• Spring
• Hibernate
• MySQL
• Redis, CouchDB and Cassandra
• Tomcat
Desirable skills:
• Financial services and mobile telecom’s
• RESTful interfaces
• JMS
• JSON
• HTML, CSS
• Javascript
• Maven
• Linux
