  • Lead the strategic review and set up of the company’s technology and software platforms
  • Identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company’s services as a web-based business
  • Transition the front-end system to a new platform
  • Develop the website’s API for plugging with travel distributors and partners
  • Develop a dynamic algorithm for pricing and packaging travel experiences
  • Implement a booking calendar with real time availability for tours, hotels and wineries
  • Create trackable customer dashboard plugged in with all relevant social media platforms
  • Lead the development of company’s B2B solution for wineries
  • Help design, develop and maintain our in-house Winerist Data System
  • Communicate the company’s technology strategy to investors, management, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Supervise recruitment, training, retention, outsourced development staff


  • University degree in the field of Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or similar. An advanced degree in one these fields is a plus.
  • In the absence of a degree in this field, a minimum of 3 years experience (full-time) in a technical role
  • 2 years experience managing websites in a different company, ideally in a startup environment (nice to have)
  • 3+ years experience of development in agile companies/projects
  • Experience with mobile
  • Hands-on experience coding in more than one currently popular web application framework
  • Required skills: Full stack, Java, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Nice to have: Expression Engine or PHP, experience with UX / UI and mobile responsiveness
