vAs a Front-End Developer at viagogo, you’ll have the opportunity to turn concepts into reality, building new features that shape the experience of buying and selling tickets for millions of fans around the world.

We’re looking for talented Front-End Developers who are motivated to turn innovative user experiences from concepts into reality. You’ll work with a team of talented designers and engineers and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role in defining how our website looks as well as how it works. You have an appreciation for beautiful design, but understand that to build the most effective user experience, feature compatibility is a must and speed is king. You’ll be on the front line in ensuring that we deliver a world-class experience to every user, regardless of location, language, device, browser, or bandwidth.

This position is located in our London office.


  • Develop highly interactive and robust user-facing features across desktop and mobile web platforms
  • Work with talented designers to turn UI/UX concepts into reality while ensuring technical feasibility
  • Continually identify areas of opportunity to optimise client-side performance and scalability
  • Manage the complexity of a highly localised, cross-browser/device product by performing rigorous testing to ensure our products are up-to-standard before release
  • Build and maintain reusable code and libraries that can be leveraged by other engineers and designers
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers and thrive on feedback, critique, and iteration


  • Advanced knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
  • Basic knowledge of CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery
  • Strong understanding of front-end performance tuning best practices and techniques
  • Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them
  • Extremely thorough, detail-oriented, and organised, with the ability to manage multiple parallel projects
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills to convey ideas in an effective manner
