Why work for us:
We are based in the Wayra offices, in an accelerator program for digital start ups. You will be spending your time surrounded by over 20 other start ups, and regularly meeting investors and industry professionals. As part of your experience here, you will have the opportunity to learn from these experts. Recent keynote speakers have been Piers Linney (from Dragon’s Den), Ben Southworth and various venture capitalists. You will also be able to attend pitching sessions, and business strategy workshops, plus an array of free events (with free drinks and food) to do with the digital SME world.
The Busking Project is an exiting startup that designs technical solutions to two problems that buskers are dealing with worldwide — fewer people carrying cash, and the criminalisation of singing, dancing and playing in the street.
We help buskers to get digital donations on the street, and sell their music straight to their audience’s phones. They can also promote their art to a wider audience. Our end goal is to change public opinion on busking (that it is a cultural endeavor, not a criminal matter), and persuade local authorities to encourage street arts
