Technical Support Engineer

You will be working for SocialGO plc as Technical Support Engineer

We are looking for passionate developer to join our team at SocialGO.

As a member of the team, you will be working alongside people with years of startup experience, who have developed and built up a platform that powers 300,000+ sites. Our engineers work in small teams and use Agile development practices, iterating quickly on features and deploying them as soon as they are ready, often multiple times per day.

We use a wide variety of technologies in our backend, including AWS, PHP, Symfony (1.4), Memcached, MySQL, RabbitMQ, and MongoDB. On the client side, we target modern browsers, and use HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript/jQuery. Our source code is stored in Git.

Code primarily in PHP, HTML5/CSS3, and Javascript
Manage technical and product issues and escalations
Work closely with, and incorporate feedback from, product management, designers, operation engineers, and the support team
Rapidly fix bugs and solve problems
Work in a team-oriented environment
Pro-actively look for ways to make SocialGO better

Programming abilities in PHP, HTML5/CSS3, and Javascript
Friendliness and respect towards customers
Have an inquiring mindset
Ability to multitask

You have a deep and abiding appreciation of memes
