We’re looking for someone with experience of system design and implementation of a cloud database system who has (ideally) been involved with the development of a product or single complex system in the past. They don’t have to have led development of such a system before, we’re looking for someone hungry for the experience of doing so who wants to step up to the next level.
Our trial database environment consists of an instance of MySQL Server 5.5, connected to Apache Tomcat 18.104.22.168. The data logging application is a Java servlet, and a suite of JSP pages provide the management information application. The test server is currently running on a PC under Windows XP SP3. It is intended that the actual trial will run on Linux using a server in the Cloud, the exact nature of which is yet to be determined. STB simulation code has been implemented in VB.NET running on Windows 7.
Above all else we’re looking for a developer with an almost obsessive desire to producing high-quality technical systems and user-interfaces. Last but not least, they must live and breathe new technologies.
