Mosaic Music Education is hiring

Web Developer - Online Music Education Platform

You will be working for Mosaic Music Education as Web Developer - Online Music Education Platform

Mosaic Music Education was founded in 2014 with a Deutsche Bank Award for Creative Enterprise. Our aim is to raise the standard of music education in the UK enabling teachers to deliver outstanding instrumental lessons even if they are inexperienced, and to engage children in inspiring music making even if they can only play one note. We do this through our online platform which you can take a brief tour of here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgNMnziK4Sc, and our specially designed instrumental resources, samples of which are here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_Hu7sKF-XQ.

We are running a pilot scheme of our resources and have several music services lined up to test and feedback on our product starting in September 2015.

We are looking for a creative, highly-skilled and enthusiastic web developer to work with us to complete version 1 of our online platform ready for our pilot scheme, to provide support throughout the pilot scheme, and to work with us long term to develop further versions of the site. An ability to listen and communicate effectively is a must, as well as to set realistic deadlines and stick to them.

As an online resource, the technological aspect of our business is as vital as the musical and educational elements. We are seeking someone who sees the value in what we are trying to achieve, and is equally passionate about creating something which will make a difference in the music education sector. What we're really looking for is a partner; someone that knows web development as well as we know music education, who can not only create the technological solutions to what we want to achieve, but also make suggestions for new ways of doing things which may be outside the confines of what currently exists in the marketplace.

We are a small start-up and currently do not have an office space, so we are looking for someone who is willing to work from home. We are based in Loughton, Essex and while some level of proximity to us would be helpful, it is not essential. Our site has been built using Joomla, and K2 so knowledge and experience of working with both of those is essential.

Why work for us:

We're a small business start-up, so every day presents a new challenge and opportunity to do something different. We're creative, ambitious and open-minded and value the people who work with us and their expertise. About us:

We are a small business start-up, founded by musician and instrumental teacher Cat Evison. We won a Deutsche Bank Award for Creative Enterprise in 2014, and are building on that success with the help of mentoring from Deutsche Bank, Guildhall School Creative Entrepreneurs, and Cause4.
