We are recruiting a versatile software engineer (but focusing on mobile applications) to join our growing technical team. You’ll help our robustly funded startup deliver a hardware/software product tackling a big challenge in the healthcare space. Working alongside the other designers/engineers/scientists in the technical team, you will have the opportunity to be directly responsible for a number of projects touching every part of the development process, having ultimate responsibility for delivery of the mobile applications component. Working as only the second software engineer in the team, you’ll be able to contribute to many aspects of the project beyond this, from signal processing to biometric data analysis.
Please apply by sending your CV & cover letter to us via email.
Resourceful: this is one of the most important things we’ll look for (and which can definitely make up for lack of experience in specific areas). In your application, we want to see evidence that when in a bind you can hack together a solution, or get clever to figure things out.
Why work for us:
Marblar is a product development company, consisting of a small but potent team of designers, engineers, scientists, and developers. We’re developing a product to tackle a key big problem in the healthcare space, focusing on an under-addressed, but massively prevalent chronic condition: joint health. We’re VC-funded by IP Group plc, a UK-based investor focusing on technology commercialisation – we’re looking to expand our team after closing our second round in the fall.
What makes us different is the simultaneous deep focus on a) understanding the medical conditions, patient needs, and market dynamics in question, b) excellent engineering, and c) intuitive, user-centric design. We’re a diverse group of people (hailing from the UK, Germany, Austria, the US, and India), who collectively have tried their hands at Life Sciences, Medicine, Product Design, Full-stack software development, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, and Materials Science, before finally finding our calling in empowering people to take charge of their own health. We all work really hard, but love working and spending time together, from our daily company-lunches to weekly book-clubs.
