We are currently looking for an iOS Developer to join our team and take charge of our latest product.
Squirrel – www.sqrl.ly
Squirrel is ‘Shazam for things’. It makes it effortless for users to capture the people, products and places they discover in their day-to-day lives, automatically adds the most relevant information, and makes it easy for them to recall it all when it’s most needed.
We have lofty ambitions for Squirrel and are working towards our goal of providing ‘Seamless end-to-end transactions for things you want right now’.
We are about to release the first version of Squirrel and are looking for someone to help us refine and evolve the App as we learn what’s important to our users.
The current version of Squirrel is fully functioning, and has been built to a very high standard of design and functionality. We have big ambitions for where Squirrel is going, and want to make sure we get the right person on board to help us realise them.
You’ll be primarily working in our Shoreditch office, but have the opportunity to work from many other amazing locations along the way.
The ideal person
We are more interested in finding the person with the right attitude, rather than just the right skill set for this role. If you are someone who loves coding, hacking, technology and sometimes find yourself still hacking away at 3am without realising the time, then you’re the kind of person we want to talk to!
We are looking for someone who is a real thinker, is passionate about their work and genuinely loves what they do. User experience and visual design are very important to us, and as such we are looking for someone who has great attention to detail and takes pride in their delivery.
You should be inquisitive, eager to learn; as well as to teach, know when to kick back and have a laugh, and when to dig deep to ensure milestones are met.
What’s most important is that you’re ready to dedicate yourself to the challenge of helping to grow a product, community and company at a very rapid pace.
What you’ll be doing
Leading development decisions, influencing change, implementing new features to the highest quality, improving performance, making sure the user interface is top notch and taking responsibility for whatever happens… even when things don’t go to plan.
Iteratively working with the team to refine the product vision and rapidly building prototypes to validate the teams assumptions.
Getting your hands dirty in backend code (we’re currently integrated with Parse) and working in areas outside of your usual comfort zone.
What you’ve done already
Shipped a product (or multiple),from start to finish, concept to launch.
Gained a solid understanding of iOS frameworks and development and shown a solid understanding of mobile UX best practices and the latest mobile development trends.
Demonstrated your capacity to develop and implement complex algorithms, and your familiarity with client/server communication.
Send applications, including CV and examples of your work to firstname.lastname@example.org
