With a growing number of production systems in the UK and US, and a constantly evolving software architecture, support and maintenance of Huddle production environments; planning and deployment of new releases, troubleshooting errors, predicting and responding to system alerts, is becoming a larger challenge.
Working closely with Huddle’s architects to design and implement changes to our software architecture, a Senior DevOps Engineer at must know everything from the browser to the SQL Server backend. Picking up new technologies quickly, our Release Engineer will have the depth and experience to know what's going to work (or not) and to challenge common misconceptions. TechOps is a tightly knitted with Huddle's developers, QAs, architects and product managers. Together we're building an amazing product which is making waves in the industry, meaning you’ll have to:

Increase our agility by developing rig build automation, faster and more flexible deployment techniques, powerful configuration management
Design and build out infrastructural enhancements to improve security, performance, and scalability of production systems
Break down the traditional barriers between Dev and Ops: Devs build it, with our help. We operate it, with their help. Accountability and ownership are key.
Support and maintain the production systems: new releases, diagnostics, monitoring and fire-fighting (including on-call cover for urgent issues)
Help Customer Support by providing 3rd line support for hardest problems faced by end users
In order to do this, we’d hope the Senior DevOps Engineer would have:
Experience with IIS, ASP.NET-based websites and .NET Windows Services, with high availability requirements.
Worked on continuous Integration, build automation, test automation, and configuration management
Experience with physical and cloud-oriented server build automation
A solid grasp of web technologies: HTTP(S), RESTful APIs, CDNs, proxies, TCP/IP
Scripting skills (eg. PowerShell, Ruby, Python)
Some familiarity with C# and ASP.NET, and Visual Studio.
