At Dvelp, we are about loving what we do. We love to learn, we love to experiment and we love to make the best products we can with the best tools we can find. We’re brave, we work hard and at our core we are about quality.
We are building an environment where we can work hard and sleep easy, where we can work remotely, but as part of a community, to deliver products globally. We want to be challenged, be encouraged to ‘dare’, to think openly and not be restrained by corporate policy.
We want to be better. We are looking to complete the cornerstones of our business and we want you to help us.
So, what’s the role?
When we sat down to think about what a project manager means for us, we quickly realized that it’s one of the most important positions in our business.
We are asking for him/her to be the primary point of contact for our clients and the liaison to our engineers – pretty important right?
The skill set required is hugely varied and a great project manager will need to wear many hats all of the time, which makes kick-ass organizational skills an absolute necessity. This position requires an adaptable, well-organized, self-motivated individual.
Client facing roles are challenging; a balancing act between giving the client what they want, always going the extra mile, but knowing where the line is and how to prevent reaching it. This intangible instinct must come as second nature to be successful in the position.
A project manager has to empathise with client needs, spot potential pitfalls (crystal ball not included) and narrate requests in a clear and consistent manner to and from our tech geeks (who mostly speak geek). The ability to communicate well, both verbally and written is a given, but we need someone who’s tone of voice is undeniable helpful, patient and friendly.
Our project managers will play an important strategic role in the business, through managing and coordinating resource; they will have the best insight into production bottlenecks and will be encouraged to make suggestions about how we can improve processes to make each project more efficient and more fun!
You don’t need to know how to code, but if you did, you’d be Mark Zuckerberg – you gotta love tech!
This role is best represented by someone who has at least 3 years professional experience in a client facing position, a proven track record, which shows the ability to multi-task and solve problems independently, always with a friendly and positive attitude.
