What We Are Looking For – Is It You?

We're looking for a truly kickass Head of Marketing to join our fast-growing London team. While the weight of the (Blaze) world might not rest solely on your shoulders, you do have a huge role to fill - you’ll be responsible for attracting and acquiring new riders to the Blaze peloton. So that soon enough, seeing a bike without a Laserlight would be as rare as spotting a driver without a seatbelt. This is an incredibly exciting time for Blaze, we have an awesome flagship product that we know people love, we just need to bring it to the world this Autumn and you could be the person making that happen!

  • A proactive and creative marketing guru, with 3+ years of experience as a leading role within a dynamic and exciting team/brand. You have a track record of delivering results via data-driven campaigns and will be in your element developing multichannel marketing initiatives to educate, engage, and excite cyclists around the world about biking safely with the Laserlight.

  • You’re both a strategic thinker and impeccable executor, you’ll help shape our brand, push us to think bigger and prioritise efforts to ensure the biggest returns for Blaze.

  • You genuinely care about our brand and what we stand for. You pay attention to what our customers say and feel about our products and service and this feeds into all your KPIs.

  • Online is a huge part of what we do; driving direct sales to the site from international customers around the world is our core. You need to be an e-commerce genius, PPC expert, eat SEO for breakfast, and own our conversion statistics.

  • You’re analytical, set the KPI’s, and can quickly test to make decisions on things we should or should not be doing

  • Although online sales are our core, you also need to be capable of launching, managing and optimizing campaigns across many channels at once. For example, our focus on international expansion includes partnering with key, thought-leading retailers in cities around the world and you should be able to leverage them to support our marketing efforts.

  • We would be engaging agencies (online marketing, PR, advertising) and affiliates, you will need to be comfortable scoping and managing projects with them.

  • You’ll enjoy leading our kickass community and social media team within Blaze.

  • You’re already overflowing with creative ideas around our autumn launch, online strategy as well as offline events, brand ambassadors to engage and clever ways to drive brand awareness and sales from the site.

  • You’re a Cyclist! No way around it, it’s who we are and what we do!

Blaze's launch product is hailed a life-saver by international press. The Laserlight is a front light equipped with a laser. It projects the symbol of a bike down onto the road ahead, tackling the greatest cause of fatality – being caught in the blind spot. It alerts drivers in front of the cyclist of its presence, preventing them turning across its path. Blaze have been operating for 20 months and in that time: * Fulfilled one of the first successful Kickstarter projects in the UK, * Raised Seed Capital from Index Ventures and Branson Family, * Partnered with PCH International to help manage supply chain in China, * Shipping successfully around the world since February with incredible customer feedback, * Sold out of every batch of pre-orders, * Developing exciting and innovative future products.
