London Metropolitan University is one of the foremost providers of undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and vocational education and training in Britain. Accelerator is London Metropolitan University's stand alone 13,500 sq. ft. Innovation Centre in the heart of 'Tech City' Shoreditch. We help develop and support entrepreneurs and enrich enterprise learning across the university.
Accelerator houses and supports over 30 young companies and fosters an environment for them to grow and succeed. We are a small, dedicated team with an ambitious programme and take an entrepreneurial approach to achieving our goals. The environment is exciting, fast paced and fun.
ABOUT THE POST
The Creative Enterprise Manager is a key part of the team responsible for developing, promoting and delivering enterprise and entrepreneurship programmes to London Met students and the start-up companies housed within Accelerator. Programmes include The Hatchery (our intensive 3 months programme that helps students launch real businesses), The Big Idea competition, Christmas Markets, Creative Enterprise Awards and other creative enterprise events. You will also support the work of the 'London Met Entrepreneurs', our student led society.
The Creative Enterprise Manager is responsible for promotional activities for programmes that will raise student participation and increase awareness of Accelerator within the university and the wider community - including social media, web presence, newsletter and general marketing support.
The role also includes supporting academic staff to embed enterprise education within current modules; assisting the Accelerator team to deliver training workshops; identifying and securing guest speakers and mentors; providing one-on-one support and advice to students taking part in programmes; coordinating temporary staff and interns; assisting with operation needs of Accelerator as needed.
You will be passionate about entrepreneurship and student enterprise, self-motivated and full of initiative. You will have ideas, be eager to take ownership over projects and take pride in delivering them to a high standard. You will have good personal skills and be able to form strong working relationships with students, faculty, partners and the companies based in Accelerator. You will have strong skills and relevant experience in events management, enterprise/entrepreneurship, social media and marketing. As part of a small team with a wide remit you will be flexible and willing to get involved in the wide variety of tasks, both large and small.

Salary: £29,286 per annum (inclusive of London Allowance)
